Last time Cowboys got to an NFC Championship game, Bill Clinton was serving his 1st term as a President. Despite that, Jerry Jones’ team always finds a way to remain in the spotlight. Fans and media crucified Dallas after their week 5 demolition in Santa Clara. However, after Monday Night’s win, boys in Silver and Blue are just a game shy of NFC co-leaders.

Rich Eisen, a diehard Jets fan and one of the most prominent host of NFL Network, had a take on how Mike McCarthy’s team could get even better.

Trade Deadline is coming up and every contender in NFC is making their moves to stay at the top. Philly added Julio Jones on an already stacked roster. The team from Bay Area which has given Dallas fits since past two years are loaded at every position. These are the teams that Cowboys have to go through before reaching their ultimate goal. The host of Rich Eisen Show shared some big names which could be on the move come trade deadline.

Rich believes that America’s Team are just missing that one guy. He also says that if Cowboys want to commit to running than “Go get Fournette and roll him downhill”. He also added that if Patriots are done, why not go after Ezekiel Elliot. His crew member went one up and said why not go all in and trade for Rhamondre Stevenson. Eisen also added how Dolphins and Niners went all in on Tyreek Hill and McCaffery  respectively. Rich threw a curveball at the end by saying they should go after Derrick Henry if they really want to commit to the run.

Who would be the best fit?

As Rich said, all top teams showed aggressiveness to get ‘That Guy’. So the next puzzle for Cowboys would be the fit and how much they have to give up to get either of them. If they don’t want to salvage their future and go a safe route than Leonard Fournette might be the best one available. SB LV winner is a free agent and so 5-time SB Champs could get him without mortgaging any future picks. However, there might be a rust factor attached to it as Fournette has not played this season.

If Cowboys want to mortgage some future, then they could ask New England for either Stevenson or Zeke’s service. Both would be a better option, as Zeke knows the Dallas system very well and Stevenson is a well-rounded player who can both catch and run. Best news for Cowboys is that both of them are healthy. If Cowboys want to instill fear in their NFC rivals, going after King Henry would be an absolute home run. Titans RB might come at a steep price but no price is too high for a Lombardi.
