An interview causing a stir on the internet due to Eagles Star Darius Slay. The interview with Eagles’ 32-year-old star cornerback, Darius Slay, recently surfaced on social media. He appeared on the latest episode of “2nd Wind,” where he joined Jarvis Miller and James Wah. During the podcast, 5× Pro Bowler was asked to name his top five cornerbacks without specifying any particular order, which generated a lot of attention from fans.

Despite Slay mentioning prominent cornerback stars, he ultimately declared a 23-year-old Broncos cornerback as the best in the NFL at the moment. This is noteworthy considering that the Broncos have had a tough start to the season with a record of 0-3.

Darius Slay tried to avoid answering the question about his favorite cornerbacks because he has several favorites. All-Pro explained, “I’ve been a guy…top five because the media world, it’s hard for me to always name a top five,” Slay expressed humbly some well-known NFL cornerbacks such as Cowboys CB Stephon Gilmore, Marshon Lattimore of the Saints, Jalen Ramsey of the Dolphins, Xavien Howard of the Dolphins, and Trevon Diggs of the Cowboys.

Slay said, “I’ve watched these guys consistently and do their thing so it’s just hard for me not to judge who the top five is.” But ultimately, his number one cornerback is none of them, as he later stated, “When I can’t get number one spot[Patrick] Surtain is the number one corner right now to me.” Slay believes that Patrick Surtain II, who is only 23 years old, is the best cornerback in the NFL based on his overall performance.

Slay also mentioned Sauce Gardner as a rising star among cornerbacks, saying, “Sauce up there too, he one of them young pups that’s coming along.” However, he noted that there are simply too many good cornerbacks in the league to make a top 5 list.
