The Seattle Seahawks looked great against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. With a slow start in the first half, they picked up pace and offense became more effective, scoring 24 points in regulation time. The first win for Seattle this year, as they are now 1-1. But getting to that point wasn’t easy by any means, especially with their rising injury concerns.
However, Seahawks head Coach Pete Carroll did confirm the return of their star player after a long recovery from injury and gave some much-needed insights as fans remain unsure.

After suffering an injury in the season-opening game against the Broncos, Adams underwent surgery and missed the entire season last year. However, recovering from the injury, he is supposed to return this season as the Safety for the Seahawks. Coach Carroll didn’t say it clearly, but he continues to give the impression that it’ll be another week until Adams return to playing for them. He said, “Adams did really well in practice this week and is as close as he can get to playing.” But also added that “he’ll be in the middle of it next week for sure.”

Uncertainty looms over the Seahawks
In very concerning news, the Seahawks ruled out LT Charles Cross and CB Coby Bryant due to a toe injury for the upcoming game this Sunday, TE Will Dissly and CB Riq Woolen are doubtful with chest injury. With even more injuries adding up as the season goes on. Notably, the safety replacement of Jamal Adams, Julian Love, is dealing with hamstring situations.

Hence, it’s no surprise Love missed practice for a second consecutive day. Love started the first two games of this season at safety, but the coach isn’t sure if he will make it to his third successive start. Coach Carroll mentioned, “He did really well today in his workout. We’ll see how he responds to the work he’s done.”
In the first two games, Love has recorded 22 tackles and a fumble recovery. Love alongside Quandre Diggs has been holding safety duties for the Seahawks while Jamal Adams carries on to recover from his ACL surgery.
It would be exciting to see him back playing after recovering from an ACL injury. However, it won’t be easy. It may take a few games to get off the rust and surely getting some playing time will help. All we can do is hope for his return to be wonderful and pray that he continues playing pain free. What do you think?
