After the 49ers’ brutal loss against the Minnesota Vikings, Skip Bayless went on to express his opinions on X. He said, “Very surprised Brock Purdy threw two 4th-quarter interceptions. Hmmm. Wonder whatever happened to that Trey Lance kid?” Bayless was not impressed by Purdy throwing interceptions, especially in the fourth quarter, that immediately resulted in the Vikings’ victory.

In the initial weeks of the season, Purdy was one of the strongest quarterbacks in the league. However, after Christian McCaffrey’s oblique injury in Week 6, Purdy does not seem to be doing too well on the field. Bayless could not hold his disappointment and wondered what happened to Trey Lance that the 49ers completely let go of him. Well, Lance was the 49ers’ QB for the longest period, and he played well.
