The PFWA All-Rookie Team(2016) has been honored with the NFL’s esteemed Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. It was presented to him at the NFL Honors in Phoenix for the 2022 season. Moreover, this award acknowledges his dedication to both football excellence on-field and his behavior off-field.

Prescott’s Faith Fight Finish Foundation, which champions causes such as mental health awareness, cancer research, community-police relations, and suicide prevention, underscores his commitment. The Walter Payton’s award is everything about that along with excellent display on-field. All these reasons got the man the award he deserved. When Prescott got on stage to give his speech, he did not forget to acknowledge the previous recipients of the award. He said, “These are men who I look up to and have learned so much from.” He also added that he will never take this for granted and it will forever be a fact he takes pride in.

The quarterback showcased that he has been a wonderful son when he mentioned his late mother Preggy. He said that his mother “was and still in my moral compass.” Additionally, he said that his charitable work has been a way for him to share his mother’s strength and courage with the world.
