The Philadelphia Eagles are currently on a phenomenal winning streak as they continue to maintain the zero-loss record even after Week 4. However, many pundits do not consider some plays of the team viable, and criticize the Eagles for their infamous ‘Tush Push’. Moreover, they were even penalized for this play in the Sunday afternoon’s game against the Washington Commanders. A lot of NFL aficionados are against the move that is coming out to be very fruitful for the Eagles this season.

Currently, the ‘Tush Push’ can be considered to be one of the most successful plays in the game. The Eagles have added their twist in this play, and once the game starts, the team aims to push Jalen Hurts forward toward the end zone. While Richard Sherman had some views on how defensive plays have been banned in the past, however, the offensive dangerous plays are still deemed to be legal. On the show, McAfee pointed out how this play has provided the Eagles with 92% success in short-yard situations. Also, the former Green Bay Packers linebacker and now-sports analyst, A. J. Hawk said on the show, “I never called for the old ‘Tush Push’ to be banned. I think like Heyward said you gotta find a way to stop it.

So despite all the backlash, Hawk believes that the defensive side of the game needs to up their game moving forward. In addition, the Eagles’ stakeholders have also voiced their opinions on their infamous play and have tried to defend it.

The Philadelphia Eagles responds to all the criticism

The team’s head coach Nick Sirianni addresses the heated-up situation that has been going around on the internet. He stated that his players see nothing wrong with the play, and he believes that the criticism is only valid for the world because it’s working for the Eagles. Sirianni even defended the play when asked about it from the front.

He said, “There is clearly a talent to it that our guys have, because maybe it’s automatic right now for the Philadelphia Eagles, but it’s not automatic around the NFL. I get that some people are complaining about it but stop it. Stop the play.” So he’s challenged all the defensive lineups in the league to stop the play rather than complaining about it.
