The stellar match-up against the Los Angeles Chargers has gained quite an attention. Dak Prescott and the team finally redeemed themselves from the curse that the 49ers left them with. The bitter defeat didn’t sit well with Prescott and Co. and they decided to put up a show on Monday. Finally, Jerry Jones’ advice to Prescott about using his legs played out and there couldn’t be people jollier than the Cowboys.
But as glorious as it sounds, people found new ways to look at the situation. They are taking a gander at his career chart to predict the future. But that might not work out because Dak Prescott is full of surprises. He showed at the SoFi stadium filled with nothing but loud cheers.

Getting sacked at the start of the game might have messed with Prescott pretty badly. After a couple of minutes of Chargers possession, he decided to switch it up and lobbed a strong pass to CeeDee Lamb, which was caught graciously. Now this move helped the Cowboys go to 4 and 1 and it was all Prescott needed to do his magic. Prescott caught the snap, waited for someone to use as a decoy and make way for him, and rushed his way to the end zone, putting the Cowboys on the map.
From that point on, the Cowboys kept moving ahead until they secured the game with 3 points. Surprisingly, the Cowboys only scored two touchdowns. The first one was when the star QB1 Dak Prescott rushed for the end zone. And the other one was a spectacular touchdown from Brandin Cooks, who came up with the game-ender for the Chargers. Safe to say that Prescott rushed the Chargers out of their own arena, barely. In an interview, Prescott was asked to elaborate on his newfound zeal to show his legs.

“Great play call, honestly,” said Prescott. ” Not showing my legs early in the year, not running, played a part in that. I just had to go get it.”
But this raises a question. If Dak Prescott could run all this time? Why did he wait for this moment to do it?

Jerry Jones, at one point admitted to Yahoo Sports that going forward in the future, Dak Prescott will be using his legs more. Per Jones, this mobility elevates Prescott’s game even further. Also, this mobility will free him up from the clutter and help him make better decisions and better plays. But that is obvious. What’s not obvious are Jones’ strategies. He mentioned “I don’t want him to [run] many times, but I want to have that threat,”. This might imply that this is Jerry Jones’ ace in the hole for his opponents.
However we look at it, the fact of the matter is that Dak Prescott finished that game contributing with a touchdown, which was the longest 18-yard of his career while outrunning his defender. He further added to further with a 70% pass completion rate and 272 passing yards. They have secured a 2 position in the NFC East.
