Los Angeles Rams moved quickly in the 2019 offseason to bring in highly rated CB Jalen Ramsey from Jacksonville Jaguars. The promising cornerback arrived in LA in exchange for a 2020 first-round pick (eventually used on K’Lavon Chaisson), a 2021 first-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

The Jaguars will be kicking themselves after watching Ramsey develop into one of the best players in his position in the league.

He proved his worth on Saturday as an impressive defensive display catapulted the Rams to a win over NFC West champions, Seattle Seahawks.

Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey were the two standout performers for the defense, yet again. Rams Head Coach Sean McVay knows the importance of Ramsey.

Rams fans will be delighted to have secured Ramsey’s signature on a long-term deal. But if they don’t win a championship or the Super Bowl anytime soon, they might risk losing their prized asset.

Popular American NFL analyst, Peter Schrager, was all praise for Rams CB Jalen Ramsey on the latest segment of GMFB. He even went on to label Ramsey’s acquisition by the Rams as the ‘best trade deal of the last decade’.

He said, “We talked about Jalen versus Metcalf and how Metcalf has done nothing against Jalen all season. And guess what happened again?

“Jalen Ramsey was incredible on Saturday. DK Metcalf couldn’t get going. He was targeted six times against Ramsey three catches 33 yards.”

“Jalen Ramsey absolutely shut down DeAndre Hopkins the week earlier. They (Jacksonville Jaguars) traded two first-round picks for Jalen Ramsey and a lot of us in the media were like, what are the Rams doing?

“Why would you trade two first-round picks for a malcontent? That first-round pick was a guy named K’Lavon Chaisson for the Jaguars and it’s going to be a 24th pick or worse for the Jaguars (in 2021).

“I think they (Los Angeles Rams) will take Jalen Ramsey. 10 out of 10 over whatever the Jaguars end up getting with those two first-round picks,” Schrager said on the show.
