Josh Allen and Co. managed to register a commanding win against the Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens at the Bills Stadium last weekend.
In doing so, Sean McDermott’s Buffalo Bills confirmed their spot in the AFC Championship game for the first time since 1994.
Coach McDermott and his support staff deserve a share of credit for their good run of results. But 24-year-old Josh Allen has been the rising star and for some time now.
He finished the regular season throwing for 4,500+ yards and 37 passing TDs. He was complemented by summer recruit Stefon Diggs, who has enjoyed a terrific debut year in Buffalo himself.
But will Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs crush the hopes and dreams of the ‘Bills Mafia’ when these two teams meet on Sunday? Adam Schein doesn’t think so.
Adam Schein made an appearance on CBS Network ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and Bills.
The revered NFL analyst was asked to comment on the upcoming game. But it was clear that he was already biased towards one team.
“Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen are going to lead the Buffalo Bills to the Super Bowl. Obviously, Patrick Mahomes playing is huge.
“But let me tell you something, Josh Allen’s the best quarterback on the field on Sunday, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, they had a better combination in connection this season.
“When you compare and contrast it to Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill…. What Josh Allen has done this postseason, it’s been next level,” Schein said earlier today.
Allen and Diggs have been one of the top-performing offensive players in the league this year. The latter ended the regular season as the league leader in receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Josh Allen has thrown for 530 yards with 3 passing TDs in the NFL Playoffs. He also has 1 rushing touchdown to his name.
Despite their dominance, the Bills will start as underdogs at the Arrowhead Stadium tomorrow. But who doesn’t love a good ‘David beats Goliath’ story?
