Drew Brees is often seen as a tenured quarterback in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints‘ quarterback has been around for 20 years and has enjoyed a rather successful stint. Brees has brought much success to the New Orleans Saints franchise, even winning a Super Bowl with them in 2010.
Brees was suffering from several injuries this season, including a set of broken ribs that he endured early on in the season. New Orleans Saints’ Head Coach Sean Payton spoke to the press, praising Brees’ durability and strength. “He’s as courageous and as tough a player as I’ve ever been around.”
Payton added that the rumors and speculations surrounding Brees’ future in the game don’t concern him; for the team has a contingency plan in store for when Drew Brees calls time on his career.
