The Texas-born quarterback Patrick Mahomes II was born to Pat and Randi Mahomes in 1995. His father was a famous baseball pitcher who played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and other MLB teams. Due to this, Patrick Mahomes had to move around a lot during his childhood.
Growing up, Mahomes showed an aptitude for football and baseball right up until his junior year at Texas A&M. After being promoted to starting quarterback in 2015, Mahomes made a strong impression in the Big 12 Conference League.
He finished his sophomore year with 4,653 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. He quit baseball the following year, which proved to be a smart decision in the long scheme of things.
