Dallas Cowboys legend Tony Romo made waves on Thursday when he claimed that Patrick Mahomes enters a ‘do-or-die’ encounter against Tom Brady in Super Bowl LV next month.

The reason behind that being a win for Brady will probably end the debate as to who is the greatest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. Brady will go 2-0 over Mahomes in the Playoffs and add a 7th Championship ring to his CV.

Tom Brady vs Patrick Mahomes is the theme for Super Bowl LV

Outspoken American sports analyst, Stephen A. Smith, was one of the few to react to the Patrick Mahomes – Tom Brady matchup that awaits us later this month. Smith believes that Mahomes will never eclipse 43-year-old Brady if the latter wins another Super Bowl.

He said, “I don’t think Patrick Mahomes could overcome that. Because no matter what use even if you want seven, which I don’t believe will happen.

“Even if you want seven, you still lost to him (Tom Brady), not once but twice in the postseason. Your only postseason losses of your career.

“One was in the AFC Championship game. Another was in the Super Bowl…It was when he was 43 years of age. It’s the seventh ring, and he beat you Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce,” Smith said on the show.

Brady can become the first quarterback in NFL history to win the Super Bowl in front of home fans. That would be another feather on his hat, and maybe Stephen and Mr. Romo do have a point.

But Mahomes is not playing against the odds for the first time in his career. So expect nothing less than a thriller on February 7th, 2020.
