It has been a few months since Tom Brady said goodbye to the football field. But despite his retirement, the rumors of his return to the field persists. Soccer legend David Beckham may have given Brady something to think about that may end up fast tracking him back to the NFL. Amid persistent rumors linking him to the Las Vegas Raiders, Beckham has declared the seven time Super Bowl champion as bored.

Brady has made some moves in the business world since hanging his cleats in February. In the latest move, he sat down for a chat with entrepreneur David Grutman. The duo had a great chat if one goes by the social media post. But how did Beckham conclude that Brady was bored during the chat?

Real Madrid legend David Beckham trolled NFL great Tom Brady after David Grutman shared a glimpse of his chat with Brady. Taking to Instagram, Grutman shared a photo from the chat in Sardinia, Italy. The duo seems to be in a deep conversation according to the photo.

“Coffee talk,” the nightclub and restaurant king captioned the post he shared.

But according to Beckham, Brady wasn’t interested in the chat. He declared that the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB was bored in the comments section. “Tom looks a little bored to be honest,” the Champions League winner said in the comment, tagging Grutman.

Now whether Brady was really bored or not is a question that only Brady can answer. But the timing of Beckham’s comments does make things a bit interesting. It comes months after the legendary QB retired from the league. And the rumors of his return to the league are only getting stronger. So will Beady make yet another comeback, like he did last season?

The Raiders way

While rumblings of Tom Brady returning to football have gone on since the day of his retirement, the current steam came only when his name came up with the Raiders. According to reports, Brady is set to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas franchise. While that doesn’t guarantee that he will play in the NFL, it was enough to get the rumor mills going.

The rumors gained further steam when the Jimmy Garoppolo situation with the Raiders emerged. Garoppolo is still nursing his foot injury he sustained last season and may not be able to take the field for them. He signed a free agent deal with the Las Vegas-based franchise, but the Raiders included an injury clause just in case they have to walk out of the deal. That clause gave more fuel to rumors of Brady being the QB1 if Garoppolo is released.

While the rumors will go on, the Raiders are confident that Garoppolo will be able to take the field. There are still more than three months before the new season kicks off and much can change in that period. But any fan would jump at the chance to see Brady play again.
