A heartbreaking Cristiano Ronaldo video
Ex-NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III shared a video featuring Cristiano Ronaldo after Morocco sent them packing from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. In the video, the Portuguese legend can be seen crying while walking down the tunnel after the game. This was probably Ronaldo’s last World Cup appearance. And it is the only trophy that has been elusive to one of the greatest soccer players of all time. While sharing the video, the former Cleveland Browns QB called it “heartbreaking”.

Morocco defeated Portugal 1-0, becoming the first African country to reach the last four stage of a FIFA World Cup tournament. Portugal were the favorite going into the game, but the Moroccans extended their dream run. The victims of their run include 2010 champions Spain and stalwarts Belgium. The minnows will take on defending champions France for a place in the summit clash.

The NFL world’s contrasting opinions

Can everyone just appreciate his greatness, shut up and say farewell? Everyone always has a problem with something and that’s wrong with this world today. Great career and none of us making comments will achieve what he has in our lifetime

A fan blamed Portugal for wasting Ronaldo’s last opportunity to make history.
Portugal wasted his last opportunity to make history. Without him Portugal does not make the World Cup. This years World Cup meant more than words can tell. The soccer gods are not giving him what he has given them. The disrespect!

Cristiano Ronaldo has won everything there is to win in soccer. Everything but the World Cup trophy. He has won the Ballon d’or, something like the NFL MVP, five times in his career. Ronaldo, along with Lionel Messi of Argentina, has dominated world soccer for the better part of two decades. But his ultimate dream, to win the World Cup with his country, remains elusive. Is it time to say farewell to the soccer GOAT?
