This week, the world of soccer lost one of its most precious gems. The legendary king of soccer Pele died after a long battle with illness. The boy from Brazil conquered the world of soccer and the heart of every Brazilian and soccer lover. And this included Tom Brady’s former Brazilian supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen. Gisele and Pele were actually quite close.

And recently, after the 3x World Cup winner’s death, an old video featuring Pele and Gisele Bündchen is making the rounds on the Internet. However, it’s not the usual feel-good video with two celebrities. This special commercial for SKY Brasil was something different altogether. The goal-scoring behemoth can be seen as confused and almost frustrated in the hilarious video.

Gisele criticizes Pele for attempting to score a goal from behind the half line. Pele seems confused and asks the supermodel, “where did I go wrong?” And Gisele continues with his fault in the shot’s technique. According to her, the center forward who scored 1000+ goals in his career didn’t align the ball properly before shooting it, causing it to go astray.

And this frustrates Pele enough for him to call Brady’s ex-wife a “goofy girl.”

Pele didn’t get his final Gisele Bündchen wish granted

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen attended the 2014 World Cup Final held at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Germany beat Argentina 1-0 and Brady and Bündchen got the opportunity to hang out with Edson Arantes do Nascimento aka Pele. Brady got a signed Pele-ball for his Patriots helmet and Pele even wished Brady the best for his 10th Super Bowl appearance.

Pele was the original no. 10 is a soccer legend, and he tried to transfer some of the good luck on to the then New England Patriots QB. But he also asked for a hug from Gisele Bündchen in return the next time they met.

Pele also spoke to Brady when the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement in February 2022. And he sent Tampa Tom one of the most heartwarming messages for the future ahead. However, the message didn’t seem to have much of an effect as Tom Brady changed his mind and came out of retirement only 40 days later. And this irked Pele’s countrywoman, Gisele.

Bündchen didn’t take Brady’s decision lightly and took it as him prioritizing football over her and their children, Benjamin and Vivian. The power couple finalized their divorce in October this year. And sadly, with Pele’s passing, his wish for a hug from Gisele remained unfulfilled.
