Carli Lloyd confident of excelling in NFL

Speaking to Yahoo Sports in 2020, Lloyd revealed that she always liked challenges as a kid. She has followed a “Never back down” attitude throughout her life which is why she reasoned it will be easier for her to transition into football.

“First and foremost, I’m focusing on soccer at the moment, but I’ve always been a kid who loves a challenge,” said the soccer star. “I’ve never backed down from any challenge. I know with proper training and the right technique and someone showing me how to properly kick, I know I could do it,” she finished.

Will we see Carli play football next season?

Continuing the chat, the soccer star revealed that this is not the right time to transition. When quipped about a timeline, she revealed that maybe a year or two later. “It may have to get pushed a year or two, we’ll see,” Lloyd said. “I know the times right now are a little up in the air, so we’ll see. I’m not ruling it out. You never know,” she finished.
