Defense will be key for Kansas City Chiefs against the Buccaneers this Sunday

It’s safe to say that the Chiefs offense is in good hands under the command of reigning Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes. The real challenge for Andy Reid’s side will be to maintain their current defensive prowess.

The likes of Chris Jones, Tyrann Mathieu, and others will be kept busy all night at the Raymond James Stadium on Sunday night.

The visitors are currently on a hot streak as far as their defensive displays are concerned. Steve Spagnuolo’s defense was terrific in both playoff wins against the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.

But it will take a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to put a stop to the likes of Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Tyler Johnson, and Scott Miller. They will definitely need to make up for the absence of Eric Fisher and Willie Gay Jr. who are both already ruled out of Super Bowl LV.

On the offensive side, Patrick Mahomes needs to be protected at all costs. That offensive line has taken enough hits all season. They have to dig deep and find the motivation to hold out for just a little longer. The Bucs defense is ruthless.

The likes of Ndamukong Suh, Shaquil Barrett, Jean Pierre-Paul are going to come out hungry for a piece of the Chiefs offense featuring Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Travis Kelce. Let’s hope that the champions can keep it all together and #RunItBack.
