Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Bruce Arians has been around the NFL for quite some time. Coaching multiple franchises in various capacities, Arians finally tasted Super Bowl success as a Head Coach this year.
His Buccaneers, who had last won the Lombardi Trophy back in 2003, also ended their 18-year-long drought for silverware. With Tom Brady leading the way, a career-long dream of the Coach was finally fulfilled at Super Bowl LV.
Winning the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal for every player and coach in the league. And it’s a feeling that takes time to really kick in. Arians said that there was one particular moment when he realized his boys were going to be lifting the coveted trophy.

“You know, Patrick (Mahomes) has come back so many times, he’s such a great player. And until we intercepted that pass. And know that there’s just not enough time for them to get it back and get us,” he said.

“I put the hat on. And all of a sudden, I got my first Gatorade bath. That actually hit me because the only other one time I ever had was back at Temple, but I had brought a brand new suit, and I was not gonna let them get me,” Arians said.
But it’s a moment he says he’ll remember forever as it’s been on almost 30 years in the making. “But I just sat there. And when the Gatorade hit me I was like, ‘I’ve been waiting for this for like 30 years’.”
