Tom Brady has defied all odds yet again to make it to a Super Bowl at the age of 43. Set to appear in his 10th Super Bowl game, the quarterback’s consistency is what makes him one of the greatest of all time.

But Brady didn’t achieve this feat by fluke. Tom Brady has been very particular about staying in shape to compete at the NFL’s highest level. The quarterback has been training with private fitness instructor Alex Guerrero for years to stay in tip-top.

With Super Bowl LV coming up, Alex Guerrero himself gave fans and fitness enthusiasts a sneak peek into how the quarterback’s workout routine has played a vital role in his longevity.

Tom Brady focusses on all-over conditioning

Brady’s workout routine doesn’t stop at any point of the season. Not even the offseason. And this dedication sets the quarterback apart from the rest.

A full-body routine to stay in shape, Tom Brady starts off each of his exercises with an active warmup. This warmup involves a banded run to stimulate his nervous system.

A lot of Brady’s exercises involve using resistance bands. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea to invest in one if you plan to replicate his workout.

The first exercise of Brady’s workout routine is a standing row, which he does 1 set to failure. This exercise helps strengthen his upper body. This is then followed by Banded pushups.

For this exercise, one needs to use resistance bands. This too is done at one set to failure. The third exercise on the list also requires a band and is banded core rotations done to failure.

For his lower body, Brady does one set of banded deadlifts to failure. And for arms’ strength, he does banded bicep curls followed by banded tricep extensions.

Deceleration lunges are also part of Brady’s routine and are something that help his core and balance. To finish off his routine, Brady does a set of banded shoulder presses and X band squats. Both a set each to failure.

Being Tom Brady comes at a price. To match his footballing IQ, the quarterback has been consistent with his workout throughout his career. And to achieve the level of success that he has, one must be willing to put in the time and effort to become a star QB in the NFL.
