The Super Bowl stage is the perfect platform for two generational quarterbacks to face each other, especially at their respective career stages.

NFL analyst Michael Robinson discussed what the Buccaneers must do to stop the Kansas City Chiefs. He believes that the primary concern for the Buccaneers’ defense will be to play rough with Mahomes.

This would allow them to make their presence known to him. However, the looming threat of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill is a major cause for concern between the two.

He said, “You have to hit Patrick Mahomes. That defensive line, these guys have to dominate the line of scrimmage. They have to be able to provide pressure on Patrick Mahomes without sending a lot of the blitzers.

“You have to be able to get to Patrick Mahomes with just 4 and be able to drop your 7 guys into coverage and be able to double Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.”

How can the Bucs stop Patrick Mahomes?

Robinson added that 4 members of the defensive unit will be too occupied with Kelce and Hill to worry about Mahomes.

However, Robinson noted that they shouldn’t be discouraged if Mahomes is able to throw the ball. Sending a message through a tough defense is the key to containing Mahomes.
