NFL insider Aaron Schatz took to ‘X’ to share his disagreement with the contract the Bears presented to Sweat. Schatz even went on to state that Sweat is, after all, a free agent. He probed, “They sign him to… a contract extension similar to the contract they could have given him in free agency?”

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons are coughing up dust after being snubbed by the Chicago Bears in a race to acquire Sweat. As per reports, the Falcons offered a 3rd round pick from the 2024 draft in place of Sweat to Magic Johnson and his Washington Commanders. While the Falcons already struck a deal with the Philly Eagles by acquiring DL Kentavius Street.
