Tom Brady is a timeless star who is proving age is just a number. TB12’s two decades of experience is an unmatched record in the NFL. Incidentally, TB’s tale of longevity is an inspiring one, because it is an unprecedented feat, especially in a risky sport. However, some equally inspiring people perhaps have taken a cue from the future Hall of Famer.
Such is the story of 48-year-old Melissa Stark. Incidentally, the legend’s inspiring career coincides with that of an NFL TV host, who left the scene and is now set to return after a gap of two decades.

The last time Melissa Stark covered the NFL, Tom Brady was a one-time Super Bowl champion. For some perspective: Matthew Stafford was a freshman in high school. Incidentally, after a long hiatus, Stark is returning to action this year. The experienced campaigner is doing sideline duty for the first time since 2002. It is the first time since 2002 that the experienced host is returning to the game, after starting a family.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my life would come full circle this way. Being part of hosting a live show in a studio is one thing, but being part of the action and being on the sidelines in the middle of the game is totally different. And that’s what I love,” said Stark, who replaced Michele Tafoya.

Stark left the media as her family grew to four children, including twins, before joining NFL Network in 2011. “I’ve always said to my husband, ‘I’m going to be replaced by someone younger. ’And he’s always said, ‘Stop thinking that. No, you’re not.’ To be able to come back with a family is very validating and an important message for women,” added Stark.

Tom Brady and the power of endurance
A lot of changes happened to the game in two decades. However, TB stood tall, in all these years. A triumphant outing is the best reward the NFL GOAT can achieve for himself. If that happens, it will be his eighth NFL title. A player of his age, still excelling in the league, is a surprising feat for the opponents and team members alike. Such passionate performers always trigger motivation in fans to pursue their dreams with determination.

Perhaps it is the beauty of the sport and heroes like TB. They teach us not to give up, and give it the best shot every time, not thinking about the outcome, but believing in the process. Melissa Stark can certainly smile now. She is on the cusp of a return. A return, supported by a determined family and perhaps a much-more determined sport! Because in the end, it is the game that is the sole winner.
