A recent tweet by ThatsGoodSports (@BrandonPerna) has shed some light on the absence of ’80 for Brady’ from the Oscars nominations. The Twitter user clarified that the film is not eligible for awards until next year. Some fans agreed with the decision, but others disagreed, claiming that they enjoyed the movie despite it not being Oscarworthy.

One Twitter user said, “As a Tom Brady fan, it was good but not Oscar worthy.” Meanwhile, another expressed gratitude for the clarification, saying, “Ah, that cleared up the confusion. Thanks 🙏.”

The former Tampa Bay QB cheered on Jon Jones at the recent UFC 285 event as Jones fought for the heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane. In a video posted by UFC on Instagram, Brady sent a message of support to Jones, who eventually emerged victorious in the fight.

While Brady may have enjoyed the UFC event, he missed this year’s Oscars ceremony. And while fans are surely happy to see the legend on-screen, NFL fans are eagerly waiting for the QB to come back to the league and show some elite passer skills. While many are speculating about the probable next sport for Brady, the QB himself has given a very suitable and cryptic reason for staying retired.
