The world and Pat McAfee witnessed one of the most insane UFC matchups recently. In what was his farewell match, Robbie Lawler served us one of the best bouts anyone could have asked for. As he sealed an impressive record of 30 wins and 16 losses throughout his career with a 38-second knock-out blow. Lawler finished his last-ever match in the Octagon by stunning and inspiring the fans with a KO that took less than a minute.

The victory would go on to ignite the hearts of many and inspire reactions on Twitter from his supporters. The former Colts punter shared his take in a short but precise tweet with exactly what he thought of the UFC legend.

The 38-second bout attracted many eyes, including those of Pat McAfee as he was watching the match between Robbie Lawler and Niko Price. A few uppercuts and an overhand by Lawler put Price on the deck unconscious in under a minute. McAfee’s reaction on Twitter embodied almost every fan’s feelings as Lawler stood tall in the octagon.

Pat took to Twitter to speak exactly what he thought of the KO, and few would argue against it. McAfee captioned the tweet with, “ROBBIE LAWLER WITH AN ABSOLUTE BOMB TO END HIS CAREER. Helllll yeah #UFC290.” The bout of the welterweights left McAfee and the spectators in a state of awe for the departing legend.

The fight capped off a career for Robbie Lawler that has seen him rack up almost double the wins over his losses. He bid an emotional farewell to the stadium and octagon in what was declared to be his last match. It’s safe to say he capped off his fairy tale career exactly like a fairy tale.

Lawler’s final fight will forever be etched in the history of UFC for the manner in which it ended. And especially how quickly it ended. While the flawless depiction of his skills in his final match helped him seal his career. It also signified a career worthy of the legendary tag. The UFC fighter has been involved in 8 title matches in his career which has lasted more than 2 decades. The last of which came back in 2016, which he would end up losing.

But that loss came after a 3-match title winning streak in less than two years between 2014 and 2016. And it would make up 75% of his title wins, with 4 titles in conclusion. Lawler had maintained a 50-50 record in his title matches, losing 4 and winning 4. Now that Lawler is moving on from the UFC, he will look back at a career well fought & fulfilled.
