They were honored for their services to the community and for helping with social issues. Megan Rapinoe, while receiving the medal, thanked Colin Kaepernick, and claimed she was inspired by him.

As a result, Kap’s fans were quick to gather on Twitter and made strong requests to President Biden to give the medal to Colin Kaepernick as well. He was one of the athletes who started all of this, and others have been inspired by him over the years.

Kaepernick’s fans made valid arguments for him receiving the medal. Another fan subtweeted the post where Megan Rapinoe and Simone Biles were shown. He wrote, “This is great. Both fantastic athletes who have represented our country and stood up for social justice issues. Now, @POTUS, where is one for  @Kaepernick7?”

Colin Kaepernick has a lot of supporters. They believe he started the wave for athletes to stand up for social issues around the country. As a result, he should also be honored like the other athletes.
