Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Matthews are ready to welcome a new family member to their lives. A second baby after giving birth to their daughter Sterling Skye in February last year. The 26-year-old father shared the news via Twitter, with an adorable picture. The photo was Mahomes alongside Brittany and his daughter holding a board that says “Big sister duties coming soon.” A relationship that was fostered for more than nine years finally got officiated on the 12th of March this year.

After graduating from high school, both of them went on to pursue their college 400 miles apart. When Brittany chose to play soccer for the University team, Mahomes led the Baseball and football teams for Texas Tech University. Soon, the quarterback received a call from Kansas City after being drafted in the 2017 NFL draft. This proved as an opportunity for the couple to begin a live-in relationship.
Meanwhile, Mahomes unlocked his fortune by winning the Super Bowl title at the age of 24 and etched his name as one of the top-tier quarterbacks in the league.
In February, the couple celebrated the first birthday of Skye, sharing some adorable throwback pictures of them. “My Ster Girl is ONE! I can’t believe it,” the proud mom wrote.

“YOU my sweet girl deserve the world!! Your Daddy & I love you more & more every day, we can not wait to see where this life takes you & all the things you will conquer!” Brittany wrote on Instagram during that time. Well, this recent news rejoiced the couple even more, and fans couldn’t stop sharing their love for the young couple.
