“He’s a better football player than a pro wrestler” – Stone Cold Rates George Kittle’s WWE Performance

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin loves his football and there’s no doubt about it. Stone Cold has gone on the record countless times regarding his opinions about the game and especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

The WWE and the NFL are two franchises’ which have often crossed paths in the past. From former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor main-eventing WrestleMania XI, to the Atlanta Falcons 1990 11th round draft pick Bill Goldberg going on to dominate the WWE as Goldberg, superstars from the NFL have enjoyed their time basking in the stage lights of the WWE.

Kittle gets an A for effort

While conversing with ESPN, the former World Heavyweight Champion rated some of the cameos by NFL superstars in the WWE. Stone Cold critiqued the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle, who had earlier pulled off an impression of ‘The Rock’ on the show.

I’ll give him an A for effort. I’m gonna give him a B plus for pulling it off… He should try to do me rather than the Rock. It’s harder to jack that eyebrow up. So he did a great job,” said Stone Cold.

Stone Cold lauds Kittle’s on-field performances 

Kittle, who was brought in by the 49ers’ back in the 5th round of the NFL’s 2017 Draft, has gone on to take the league by storm. Just into his fourth season in the league, Kittle has already appeared in 2 Pro Bowls and was selected as a First-Team All-Pro for 2019.

Stone Cold said that Kittle who was drafted in from the University of Iowa is one of his favorite tight ends in the league right now. He also said that he is aware of the fact that Kittle is a Stone Cold fan himself.

On the football field, that guy’s lights out. He’s one of my favorite tight ends in the game. So I’m just proud of the fact that he loves the business and I know he’s a Stone Cold fan as well,” he said.

Though the 49ers’ haven’t been able to hit the form which took them to the Super Bowl last season, Kittle will hope to his team can rally together to bring the Lombardi Trophy, back to San Francisco.
