The NFL has just revealed its list of stars lining up for the Pro Bowl games. While many big-name players are on the list, as expected by the fans, just like every year, there are a few blunders as well. The most prominent shock comes in the AFC side of things. Where Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen have been picked, leaving the fans in shock over the snubbing of some names. However, there is not a bigger surprise than Tua Tagovailoa not being on the list and the fans agree.
The AFC is stacked with top quarterbacks this season. The three picked for the Pro Bowl are all in an MVP race. Following a stellar season from Mahomes, who is currently the leader of the race. But on the other side, it is hard to not mention Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa who has also been sensational this year. The player has garnered a lot of attention recently, especially from the fans, who voted the player as the number 1 choice for the Pro Bowl. But it seems like the NFL has other plans.

Just like Burrow, this fan questions the selection of Josh Allen over Tagovailoa.
Plays like this for 2 months and makes it over Tua. Ridiculous pic.twitter.com/VDDvARxdqp

This fan asked one question which every fan was wondering about.
Wait, didn’t Tua get the most votes? Does that just not matter?
— Jacoby (@JacobyFC) December 22, 2022
To answer his question, yes, votes from the fans do count. The fans, players, and coaches all vote for the Pro Bowl player selection. Each group’s votes count as one-third towards the determination of the list.

Even a career year couldn’t help the Miami star
The Dolphins drafted Tua with the 5th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. This is his third year of an injury-riddled career up until now. However, he is on the mark to play the most games of his career and is already having his best season as a QB. He has thrown for 3238 yards in just 12 games, with 24 TDs and only 5 interceptions. The 24-year-old is currently leading one of the most explosive offenses in the league, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Unfortunately for the player, he is up against the best quarterbacks this year. If he looked the other way, in the NFC, even Geno Smith was able to make the list, following Jalen Hurts and Kirk Cousins. But the Dolphins will have the task of booking their playoff berth in the coming weeks to keep the QB occupied and distracted from the Pro Bowl snub.
