Nick Kyrgios Disparages The French Open Tournament

The Australian tennis professional, Nick Kyrgios’ tour to Rome costed his heavy due to his unsportsmanlike conduct at the Italian Open 2019. And Nick Kyrgios was defaulted in the middle of the match against the Norwegian tennis player, Casper Ruud.

Within less than a week, the second major tournament of the year, French Open 2019 will be getting underway. And today, Kyrgios was practicing in SW19 and was hitting some tennis balls with the former Wolrd Number one, Andy Murray.

From London, Nick Kyrgios posted an Instagram video, in which he disparaged the pride of French tennis, the Roland Garros. The World Number 36, Kyrgios will be shortly flying to Paris for the French major, but before that, he denounced the Parisian sludge.

He compared the slow-playing surface of the French Open with the British major turf and criticized the Parisian terre-battue. “The French Open sucks compared to this place (Wimbledon),” Nick Kyrgios said.

Kyrgios’ delinquency in Rome seems to continue in Paris, even before stepping in the French capital, the Australian attacked one of the elite tournaments of their sporting history. And with this attitude, Kyrgios might professionally land up in more trouble.

The 128-years-old tournament in tennis history is certainly the real tennis on clay. And in the Open Era of tennis it the only major tournament to have a tiebreaker-less final set.

Before criticizing the clay major, at No Challenges Remaining podcast, Nick Kyrgios demeaned the World Number one, Novak Djokovic. He stated that, even if the Serb overtakes Roger Federer’s major tally, he would never be able to outshine the achievements of the Swiss even if Djokovic strives to do so.

The Australian, Nick Kygrios feels, his good friend, Andy Murray is a better tennis player than Novak Djokovic and certain tactics which Murray can do, Novak is not even aware of those skills.

In Rome, he mentioned the Rome Masters 2019 champion, Rafael Nadal, to be a “super salty” loser and called his uncle, Toni Nadal as an “idiot”.
