The Australian tennis player, Nick Kyrgios has once again got involved in a controversy in Florida, in the US. Kyrgios was playing his round-of-16 at the Delray Beach Open against the World Number 82, Radu Albot and the Australian lost  6-2 3-6 6-3. World Number 64, Nick Kyrgios was disdained by the crowd present around the American court. Some of the spectators realised the Australian lad wasn’t giving his best against the Moldovan professional tennis player, Albot when compared to his efforts in the opening round match against his compatriot, John Millman.

The public on the stands disparaged him again when Nick Kyrgios called his trainer in the first set. Kyrgios and a fan happen to communicate with each other at the end of the first set. The fan interrogated upon the Australian’s calibre and the 23-year-old ATP man replied, “No one told you to be here … why don’t you do something else.” With that, Kyrgios was given a code violation for that interaction with the public and for the use of colourful language.

In the second set the Canberra native, Nick Kyrgios was spotted clapping in a scornful manner and then diverted his attention to a lines-person. Later, he started calling out at the top of his voice “good stuff, champ” at a fan who was leaving the premises in the third set. The Australian mentioned that he gets infuriated upon coming across such situations. “They come at me saying we paid good money to come (see) me,” Kyrgios mentioned after his loss in the southeastern coast of Florida. “I didn’t ask you to come to spend money and come watch me play. You know what you are going to get. I didn’t come to your house and threaten you to come to watch me play…I’m used to it man. When I win everything is fine, when I lose I get booed, simple as that.”

Nick Kyrgios was ranked Number 13 in 2016 and presently has fallen five times lower than his previous rank. He left the Delray Beach court is a badge of an estranged character of tennis and with an amalgamated sensation of jeers and delight in the stadium.
