Nick Kyrgios again make it to the headlines as he declares himself as the best grass court players in the world on his day as he prepares for the Queen’s Club Championships and Wimbledon Championships 2019.

Nick Kyrgios said ahead of his preparations for the Fiver-Tree Championships at the Queen’s Club. He said, “I’m one of the best grass-courters in the world on my day so I know that I can back myself under pressure on this surface. I’ve always felt pretty comfortable on the grass.”

Nick Kyrgios further added, “My record at Wimbledon’s pretty good. I feel like I’ve had some great memories, really fond memories there – that’s where it all started for me.”

Nick Kyrgios recalled his epic matches at the All England Club. He said, “I’ve had some epic matches. It’s just the tradition of Wimbledon is awesome – the crowds are very respectful, the courts are perfectly cut. It’s the ultimate slam you want to win. And I don’t know how many more Wimbledons I will play so I can’t take these for granted.”

The Australian feels that he is can do better than the past at Wimbledon. He said, “I feel like I could do better than quarter-finals. I did that when I was 19 without any training really. I love London, it’s very like Australia, and I really like being home. It has that home vibe about it.”  

Nick Kyrgios suggested that mentality will be the key to his better performance at Wimbledon. He said, “The mentality is the key. I need to go in feeling fresh. Holding it together for two weeks mentally for me is tough. Wimbledon is the best tournament in the world. I feel like if you win Wimbledon, that’s the ultimate Slam.”

Nick Kyrgios earlier made headlines for ripping off the top players with his comments. He called Novak Djokovic “cringeworthy” and Rafael Nadal “super salty”.

Nick Kyrgios was asked if any player liked his comments on Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. He replied: “A couple of people have loved it actually. I’m not going to mention names, but regardless if people like it or don’t like it they were just my honest thoughts.”
