World No.2 Novak Djokovic explains that he does not have any problems with Nick Kyrgios cheering against him during the ATP Cup 2020. The Serbian explained that it’s entertaining to see him or any other player coming to watch other team’s matches. However, he also suggested that the Australian knows how to attract attention.
The hot-headed surprised the fans after he emerged with some mates to jeer Djokovic from the stands during the deciding doubles rubber of Serbia vs France clash at the ATP Cup 2020 on Monday night.

The Serbian was not intimidated by Kyrgios’ latest antics in Brisbane, as he understands that the 24-year-old is a good friend of the French team. The 16-time Grand Slam champion also explained that the Aussie knows how to keep all eyes on himself.
“To be honest, (I was) not really (disappointed)” Djokovic said in an interview, talking about Kyrgios’ latest antics in Brisbane.

“I didn’t see him in the stands but then I
saw the videos after that on social media.
“I know he’s a good buddy with Gael Monfils and with the French team, so, you know, it’s fine,” the World No.2 added.
The 32-year-old also thinks that it’s entertaining to have him or to have any other player coming out, to have a well-known player coming out to see other teams and other matches.
However, in what looked like a sassy dig, Novak Djokovic further added: “And Kyrgios knows how to have fun and how to attract attention, that’s for sure.”

Djokovic’s successful ATP Cup 2020
Despite Kyrgios’ best efforts, Djokovic and his partner Viktor Troicki sealed the tie for Serbia against France. The pair defeated France’s Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Nicolas Mahut in a thrilling three-setter in the deciding doubles to fix a place in the quarterfinals.

The Serb is yet to lose a match in the 24-team competition. He won three singles matches and one double in the round-robin. The Djokovic-lead Serbian team will play their quarter-final match against a young Canadian team on Friday in Sydney.
