The Australian has been critical of the event for a while now. He said that it was a ‘boneheaded’ decision to play the event at such a time when the virus is spreading. These cases are certainly not good news and many players are worried about what they might mean for the 2020 tennis season. So far, the ATP has not talked about any major changes to the season due to the cases. But they will be expected to increase their safety measures at the event that are going to be played.
Right now, every single person is going to be hoping that the players infected will recover soon. And they will also be hoping that we will see them playing on the Tour when it returns in August. And hopefully, that is exactly what happens.
