If you are an avid FPS player, you will have heard of Shroud. It’s almost like that name is now a common term in gaming merely because the guy is beyond special. ‘Shroudy Rowdy’ as he calls himself is one of the best FPS players in the world. Yes, that’s right, we’re talking about all the popular FPS titles there are. Be it Counter-Strike, PUBG, Call of Duty, Valorant, Apex Legends, or most other shooters, Shroud will obliterate you if you go head-to-head.

The man is so mechanically gifted that the plays he makes almost seem unreal. But he’s been MIA for a while now and everyone is wondering where the heck he is.

Dr Disrespect and Ninja are on YouTube. But where is Shroud?

This seemingly long leave of absence began when the Mixer shutdown was announced. Ninja and Shroud, who streamed exclusively on Mixer, were suddenly free to stream anywhere they wanted. Michael (Shroud) also reportedly got a $10 million payout from Mixer. Since then, Ninja has started streaming on YouTube and Twitch but Shroud’s stayed away.

Recently, the ‘Two-Time’, Dr Disrespect, also announced his arrival on YouTube. He teased the fans with two cryptic songs on his channel and finally made a comeback with a 24-hour stream. After the Twitch ban fiasco, Doc’s next move was highly anticipated and he did not disappoint. He even had close to 500,000 peak concurrent viewers, which is almost triple of what Ninja managed with his first stream.

But the ‘Rowdy’ Shroud is still missing. His YouTube channel is active but he just keeps uploading old videos and montages to keep the fans engaged. Most of them are his best clutches, unreal plays, you know, typical Shroud stuff.

Shroud’s return to professional gaming is unlikely but not impossible

We know he has mentioned it in the past that he will not be returning to the competitive scene.  Apparently, it is not easy for anyone to be a pro and he just wanted to focus on streaming. And streaming worked wonders for him. He may not have achieved a lot of fame as a pro player but he definitely reached new heights with his streaming career. He hasn’t streamed on Twitch for almost a year now and yet he remains the 3 most-followed person there. That speaks volumes about his fan following and popularity.

But don’t rule out the possibility of him going pro again. There have been a lot of rumors recently that suggested he is indeed coming back to competitive gaming and he’ll play Valorant. He was a pro Counter-Strike player for Team Liquid and knows how to work his way in a 5v5 game. But a series cryptic tweets from him got the fans thinking. Take a look:

Internet sleuths quickly came to the conclusion that he is indeed making a comeback to the competitive scene. There is still no official confirmation of it.

He’s made his fans wait for a long time now and everyone is eagerly waiting for him to return to streaming. There is still a big decision for him to make, where he can choose to go back to Twitch or can move to Facebook or YouTube. With all the ‘teasers’ he has put out, we’ll hear of a decision soon enough.
