The game’s description read, “Choose from a cast of Kirby’s most iconic copy abilities—including the brand-new Wrestler ability—and duke it out to be the last Kirby standing. Familiar friends and foes like Bandana Waddle Dee and King Dedede also make an appearance as playable characters in the Kirby Fighters 2 game, available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch system.”

The price for the game was listed as $19.99, but the release date wasn’t in the listing. But now that Kirby’s out of the bag, Nintendo will probably announce the game at the next Nintendo Direct event.

Kirby Fighters holds a special place amongst Nintendo fans, even though it wasn’t a standalone game at first. It was a sub-game in Kirby: Triple Deluxe and quickly became a fan favorite. According to Kirby Fandom, the game’s description reads, “Kirby Fighters is a fighting game (as the name suggests) in which Kirbys can fight each other while wielding a Copy Ability. On-stage hazards appear in some of the stages. The game also has a multitude of items, which will randomly appear in each stage.”

The game will be a thoroughly refreshing addition to the existing mix of games coming to Switch. Nintendo has already made a lot of Switch users happy with its recent Mario announcements and this will only add to that joy.

On the original game’s 35 anniversary, Nintendo had announced a great line-up of Mario titles that included limited-time games, new titles, and a Mario BR game as well. The company also plans on hosting a Nintendo Direct event in October, which will bring more interesting announcements with it.
