After three long days of the virtual E3 2021, one might think Xbox, Ubisoft, and Square Enix were going to be the highlight of the event. However, ESA saved the best for last as Nintendo Direct took place as the first event on Day 4. While the Japanese company disappointed fans by not releasing the Switch Pro, it did have other exciting announcements.
One of the biggest expectations fans had from the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021 was a long-awaited Zelda game. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was rumored to get a sequel soon. This was going to be one of the headlines at the Direct. Fortunately, the Japanese developers did deliver on this promise as they announced development on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

The release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is still a thing of the farther future. However, Nintendo made sure to keep fans excited for the upcoming title by showing a sneak peek into what the game is going to look like. Therefore, the last trailer in its Direct showcase at E3 2021 contained footage from the upcoming Zelda title.
Seconds into the trailer, fans were awestruck by the marvel that the game teaser was. From the precise and crisp graphics to the vibrant colors and scenic settings, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequels seems to be on the right track.
Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn’t plan to release the title anytime soon as it wants to deliver on fans’ expectations. Therefore, the game will make its way to the Switch consoles by 2022. However, the developers have promised to keep on releasing more updates as they arrive.

Nintendo has still not given an official name to the upcoming sequel of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They have decided not to call it ‘Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2’ and instead refer to the upcoming title as the ‘sequel’. While mystery surrounds the title, one cannot get over the fact about how impressive the trailer looks.
Darkness has taken over the realm as Zelda and Link reunite to fight what appears to be longtime series villain Ganondorf. The visuals from the trailer look so good that some fear they wouldn’t run smoothly on the existing version of the Nintendo Switch.
