Former World No. 1 Maria Sharapova mesmerized fans with her success earned on the tennis court and off it too. The Russian star was the highest-paid female athlete for 11 consecutive years. All through her career, Maria also dealt with a number of injuries and difficulties that she faced outside the tennis courts.
Last year, after her first-round loss to Donna Vekic at the Australian Open, the Russian superstar officially retired from the sport. After that, she announced her engagement to British businessman Alexander Gilkes, who has an association with members of the British Royal Family, such as Prince William and Harry.

Maria Sharapova says flat white coffee is her favorite
Recently, during a question-and-answer session, the Russian was asked if she missed Melbourne and the coffee which is available out there. To this, she said, “I am. No one does it better. The flat white.” A flat white is a coffee drink consisting of espresso with microfoam.
Sharapova is known to take her coffee seriously and in the past, she has put up posts that have shown her liking for the brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans.

In Sharapova’s early days, she won her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2004. At the final stage, she beat the American and the World No. 1 at that time, Serena Williams. After that win, she entered the top 10 for the first time in her career.
