Former NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010, Metta World Peace, aka Ron Artest, is known for his unconventional personality. He has had the opportunity to play with and against some of the top NBA players, including the 3 most iconic personalities Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan. Recently after completing 40,000 points and becoming the only player to do so, LeBron has earned his statue.

Artest on his X shared his opinion on why the 4-time NBA champion deserves statues not just in Crypto Arena. He wrote” LeBron James is incredible. Not just basketball. But everything. I think he should get a statue in front of libraries on how to help your friends and colleagues excel. He defined that concept in an era where it’s hard to make it. Just HYPER INCREDIBLE.

It is just when and not if LeBron will get a statue. What is more shocking is how Metta is now supporting the statue and advocating for LeBron but has changed his tunes and has completely disregarded the 4time MVP.

Artest always changing stance on Lakers Legend LeBron

In November he posted on X his top 5 players excluding both the Lakers legend, the late great Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.

Since this tweet, he had multiple tweets the following day changing his top 5 players. In one tweet he wrote the following names Kobe, King James, Tim Duncan, Wilt, Shaq. Completely disregarding Jordan and Russel from his earlier tweet. He went a step ahead and wrote My New Top 5 Stephen Curry, MJ, Bron, Wilt, and Kobe. This time he did include the Lakers Star.

During the podcast with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller of the “OGs” there was a discussion about NBA GOATS. Metta offered insights into LeBron James’s potential to claim the GOAT title once he retires from the NBA. He admitted James’s extraordinary accomplishments.

I think when LeBron’s career is over, I think when you crunch all the numbers, it’s going to read LeBron number one. He did what he had to do and Wilt Chamberlain had numbers, he played 13 seasons. Mike got 6(championships). Mike did what he had to do. Bron did what he had to do.”

How serious Metta World Peace is with his top 5 list, only he can tell. But with which list of his you guys agree? Please let us know in the comments.
