On a tennis court, they are famously represented by the likes of Roger Federer, Serena Williams, etc. Recently on Twitter, a lot of fans were shocked when they got to know that Venus Williams and Wilson have parted ways.

The update came due to a fan’s query on a tweet by Wilson Tennis two years ago. It was a photo with the caption ‘clay crew’ and notably featuring Serena Williams, Grigor Dimitrov, etc. And so a fan had asked 2 years back-

“Where is Venus Williams?”

And Wilson replied that they couldn’t fit all the players in one photo and so Venus couldn’t be included.

“We have so many amazing #TeamWilson players, we couldn’t fit them all on the poster!” Wilson replied to the earlier query.

But recently another fan drew a comparison between sports goods brand Nike and Wilson saying that Nike is promoting Venus whereas Wilson isn’t. And to this Wilson replied that Venus wasn’t contracted to them and so they can’t market her.

“Venus is not currently under legal contract with Wilson so we cannot market her!” Wilson replied.

And to this news, there was a huge uproar as people couldn’t believe Wilson is no longer associated with Venus Williams. Fans were baffled because Venus is a huge figure in tennis and she is very inspirational and powerful. Wilson later clarified that they will provide Venus with the necessary tennis equipment such as rackets, bags, strings, grips.

“We still provide her with all of the product (rackets, bags, strings, grips) that she uses.” Wilson clarified.
