Rafa also opened up about his relationship with former Czech professional player Tomas Berdych. Nadal lost to Berdych once in Madrid in which the Czech player had gotten some help from the public. After that, the Spaniard defeated him seventeen times in a row.
“He deserved it,” said Nadal with laughter. “I’m kidding. We actually have a good relationship with Berdych now, we also wanted to play doubles together.”

Berdych stunned everyone at the Wimbledon Championships 2010, where he defeated top-seeded Roger Federer in the quarters and eliminated Novak Djokovic in the semis. It was like a dream run for him before he met Rafa in the finals. Nadal conquered him by winning the final in straight sets.
Rafa has not won the Wimbledon title since then. Fans will hope that with his current form, he can do on grass what he usually does on clay. At the moment, the 34-year-old will be looking forward to winning the Paris Masters title for the very first time.
