“Nothing Is Normal Right Now”-Dana White Fires Back At A Reporter

Dana White has just pulled off his 4th successful event amidst a global pandemic. He is going into this full steam ahead and he also says there is no certainty of the future.

An in interview post-UFC 250, Dana White gets into a heated discussion with a journalist. Posing a question about the future of the business and what is actually going on got Dana White riled up. The question was mainly targeted at the recent problem Dana White has been facing with his employees.

A lot of fighters have come out and vocalized their need for a pay hike. They’ve come out in a decent size and have asked White to pay them more money in the wake of the ongoing pandemic. The one fighter that tops this list is Jon Jones. His fight with White was a public affair and ended with him threatening to retire from his contract with the promotion.

Dana White shrewdly answering this question said, “I have no idea why this is going on. So you want me to tell you why this is going on right now? That is a really stupid question. We’re in a F**king pandemic and the world is going crazy right now and all these guys are like ‘I want more money too’.”

He added, “Let me tell you what’s going to happen, I’m going to predict the future here. Most of the media in this country is going to get laid off in the next several months. And everybody wants more money and nobody wants to get laid off. And all these crazy things are going on in the world right now. Nothing is normal right now. And I am the only guy that is pulling off sporting events right now.”

Dana White has a message for his fighters

Dana White goes in hard and has a message for his fighters, “You’re asking me, and I don’t f**king know what’s going to happen in the next f**king month with my business. And I don’t give a f**k. I’m doing what I can do to keep the bus on the highway here. If people don’t want to fight, you DON’T HAVE TO fight. If you’re afraid of COVID-19, stay at home. Whatever your deal is, you don’t have to do it.”

Dana White doesn’t need to answer anyone and is going t continue on with his business irrespective of what people have to say.
