World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been in the news for his sheer domination this season. We are halfway through, and the Serbian ace has won the two Grand Slam tournaments that have taken place so far. He has certainly raised the stakes in the game and in the debate for the greatest of all time.
Recently, Djokovic revealed that he would be competing in the grass-court event in Marbella. The ATP 250 Mallorca Championships will be held from the 20th of June and will end by the 26th of June. Interestingly, the Serbian star has decided to enter the doubles section too.

Novak Djokovic played doubles earlier in Melbourne this season
The last time Djokovic was seen competing at a doubles event was in the ATP Cup, held at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, his journey did not last long as he crashed out in the group stages of the competition. Coming to the present date, the Serb may want to sharpen his serve and volley skills as that is a technique utilized on the grass courts.
Although the grass courts have become more of a baseline game over the years, the true traditional essence of playing on this surface is the serve and volley. Knowing the perfectionist that Novak is, after enjoying tremendous success in recent months, he will still strive for more.

Novak Djokovic will be present at the inaugural ceremony
Besides, competing on the grass courts at Mallorca, the World No. 1 superstar will be part of the inauguration ceremony of the new Center Court of the Mallorca Country Club. He will be joined by ex-stars Tommy Haas and his coach Goran Ivanisevic. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, the 18th of June.

After his stint in Mallorca, the Serb will proceed towards London for the Wimbledon Championships 2021. He is the defending champion, as the tournament was canceled last year. It will be interesting to see how he performs this season as he has been in tremendous form.
