The draw is terrifying for Djokovic. He may have to play Jannik Sinner and Hubert Hurkacz in the second round and third round, respectively. Moreover, he could then face World No.6 Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals. Furthermore, he finds Stefanos Tsitsipas in his half.

Novak Djokovic returns to play in 2021 after his Australian Open 2021 triumph. Although he won another Grand Slam down under, it came at a cost as his abdominal tear became a significant injury. Thus the Serbian took some time out and later now returned to the clay court.

Medvedev could renew his rivalry with Diego Schwartzman in the quarterfinals. And he is on the same side of the draw with Rafael Nadal.

Daniil Medvedev finds himself as the second seed after a steep rise in rankings. He is ranked second, ahead of Rafael Nadal. Generally, clay court has been his Achilles heel, but last time around in Monte Carlo, Medvedev had managed to reach the semifinals.
