As Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal flew to Kazakhstan for an exhibition event, over there, the Serb, Djokovic expressed his admiration towards the Swiss legend, Roger Federer (since he is playing some stellar tennis at 38 years of age) when asked about his future in the sport.

“I have lots more time than Rafa, like one year more,” the 32-year-old, Novak Djokovic joked on being younger to Rafael Nadal by one year. “I hope Rafa is going to stick on his behalf. If we reach Roger’s age and we play as well as he is doing, I think, we’ll be pretty happy. We are competing at the highest level.”

“We are 32 and 33 years old. It was not the same 10 years ago, some things are changing with your body, of course, you have to deal with it that. I think we both love this sport truly. It’s giving us a lot of pleasure. To be on the tour and at the highest level and compete, let’s see how far we can go,” Novak added.

The duo, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have locked horns 54 times on the ATP circuit and they are one of the most celebrated rivalries on the ATP Tour. Nadal was victorious in their most recent meeting in Rome, Italy and moved ahead of Djokovic in terms of the ATP Masters 1000 title count and later extended the sum to 35 in Cincinnati.

“We have had this wonderful rivalry during our careers, which still continues, but our relationship and the respect we have for each other on and off the court allows us to play charity games and support each other’s foundations,” said Djokovic.

We really enjoyed this beautiful day,” Nadal spoke about his wedding. “We had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves with the people we wanted to be there, and that’s why we had a great day. It was something we had been preparing for a long time, but it has already happened and now is the time to return for the end of the tennis season and it is good to return for a charity event,” he said.
