The Novak Djokovic situation has not bothered Naomi Osaka
Osaka felt that the controversy surrounding Novak was something that might have affected players on the men’s tour more. On the other hand, she is concentrating on having another successful season and is defending her title in Melbourne.
Speaking on this subject, the four-time Grand Slam winner stated, “To be completely honest the Djokovic situation didn’t affect me, maybe it did more with men’s players. My goal is to focus on myself more, I’m a tennis player and I focus on my matches.”

Ideal Start for the Japanese Superstar
Coming to tennis, Osaka won her opening round match today against Camila Osorio in straight sets. She will be up against American tennis player Madison Brengle in the next round. The Japanese tennis star is looking in good form and she also reached semi-final of Melbourne 1, before withdrawing due to injury.
Osaka and Djokovic both won the Australian Open last year in their respective singles categories, continuing their hardcourt dominance. However, Osaka’s season from that point onwards wasn’t ideal, as she revealed she had been struggling with mental health issues and decided to skip several important tournaments.
