The main difference between the surfaces is the bounce and speed. The fastest court is the grass-court where the ball bounces the lowest. The clay-court is the slowest court with the ball bouncing the highest. And the hard court is sort of a middle ground where the ball is faster than clay but slower than grass. The bounce here is also even. So a player will have to keep changing and evolving to stay competitive throughout the season on different surfaces.

When looking at the numbers you find out how close to each other and great these players are. It is a very close affair. The Big 3 have a favored surface but over the years, they have tweaked their style and play to adapt and win on other surfaces as well.

Looking at the numbers by win percentage, Djokovic edges out Nadal and Federer. Taking the average of win percentages on the three surfaces, Djokovic has won 82.73 percent of his matches. Both Nadal and Federer are very close with 82.64 and 82.27 respectively. So the man of all three surfaces is Novak Djokovic who is just slightly ahead of his counterparts.
