Novak Djokovic Makes Fun of Karen Khachanov on Instagram

World No.2 Novak Djokovic once again shows his humorous side as he makes fun of his fellow mate Karen Khachanov in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Russian tennis star Karen Khachanov is on a vacation during the offseason, having not qualified for the next week’s ATP World Tour Masters 2019. He posted a photo of him on Instagram in a swimming pool, enjoying his holidays in the Maldives.

On Saturday morning, Karen Khachanov posted a picture of him showing off his back muscles in a pool with a caption saying, “Just chilling and nothing more.”

Novak Djokovic, however, could not hold himself back from making fun of the 23-year-old as he made a hilarious comment on the post, “Photoshopping your back muscles man… Come on.”

Khachanov did not stay away from making a witty reply as he wrote, “Novak Djokovic, I can teach you next time how it works.”

Novak Djokovic and Karen Khachanov have only met twice in their career so far with both the players winning one match each, making their head-to-head tied at 1-all. The Serbian won their first meeting at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships. However, the Russian avenged his defeat in the finals of the Rolex Paris Masters 2018.

The 16-time Grand Slam champion is currently getting ready for the year-end championship ATP World Tour Finals 2019 in London. While Khachanov will next play the Davis Cup Finals 2019 in Madrid later this month.

Djokovic is also battling for the year-end No.1 position in the ATP rankings with Rafael Nadal and will have to win the ATP World Tour Finals 2019 title to guarantee the top spot if the Spaniard wins two round-robin matches at the year-end tournament. If the 32-year-old held back the No.1 spot, he will match Pete Sampras’s record of six year-end finishes.

Djokovic will give himself the best chance by winning at least two Group Bjorn Borg matches and triumphing at  2019 Nitto ATP Finals for the sixth time, which would tie Roger Federer’s record.
