“In my case, I can sincerely say that nothing is impossible… When I was saying I want to be No. 1 of the world, and I was seven or eight years old, most of the people were laughing at me because it seems like I have one percent of chances to do that, and I’ve done it.” -Novak Djokovic

Djokovic is currently on a comeback trail after missing most of 2017 through injury. He made an appearance in a few tournaments but has been bundled out early. The most recent tourney was the Monte Carlo Masters where he lost to Dominic Thiem. However, he will be making an appearance at the Barcelona Open and possibly the Millennium Estoril Open. The Serbian former world number 1 will be joined by Spanish player David Ferrer, who is also making a comeback. Djokovic will likely be playing with a wild card invitation.

We are speaking with Djokovic’s camp. Let’s see what happens‘, tournament director João Zilhão said. Djokovic’s appearance in Portugal will depend on what he will do at the Barcelona Open.

Speaking of Barcelona, Novak Djokovic will be part of a star-studded lineup comprising of Rafael Nadal, Pablo Carreno Busta, Thiem and Kei Nishikori. So the big question is, can Djokovic get back his mojo and win back his rightful place as a Big 4 member?
