In another moment of history, Novak Djokovic has had a court dedicated to him in the French city of Clichy. The World No.1 earlier had a statue erected in Belgrade and several murals across the Belgrade city. So this one in France is a unique one.

A non-profit organization called Etendart has gone with the project. Clichy has a Racine stadium in which the court has been dedicated. The court has been designed by Youssef Sy and Opera Graphiks.

A graphic of Novak Djokovic is also present beside the court

The court has very beautiful art pieces and color scheme. It even has a graphic of Djokovic as well. It has blue and red colors and blends in sports and city life in court. The main aim here is to inspire new upcoming athletes and finding the next Novak Djokovic. Both the artists responsible for the artwork posted their reactions on Instagram. They were very excited to work with Etendart and were delighted to be part of this project.

“I was delighted to take part in the TeamCourtside project which promotes integration through sport by renovating sports infrastructures with the collaboration of international artists. Thus, educational programs for young people who need them the most will be very quickly put in place this summer” Opera Graphiks posted.

The court will be used to offer a tennis course for 150 students. And so the co-founder of Etendart, Olivier Mairot also talked about their agenda and their goals.

“We take our roots with the new court but also with our premises a few steps from here. With Etendart, we don’t want to confine ourselves to creating art fields, we want to create meaning with the young people of Clichy over the long term.” Mairot said
