Djokovic is recovering from his shoulder injury. The injury was pestering him from US Open 2019, also it led to his retirement from the Grand Slam event when he was competing in the fourth round against the former champion, Stan Wawrinka.

He was not happy about his retirement from the pre-quarterfinal match and was dispirited by that move. “It is very frustrating. Of course, it hurts that I had to retire. Some days the pain has been higher, some days with less intensity. Obviously I was taking different stuff to kill the pain instantly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t,” the Serb added.
